4 Secrets of the Rich That No One Tells You

4 Secrets of the Rich That No One Tells You

Want to become Rich? Everyone does, but only a small part of the population succeeds. Clearly, hard and honest work is a basic condition for achieving a comfortable financial situation. But there are some tips on how to follow the path to wealth that can help you a great deal.

These tips may seem a little philosophical and generic, but don’t be fooled. In fact, they are important guides for you to follow and can help you a great deal when making more difficult decisions about work and investment alternatives and opportunities.

1. Make your money work for you

All right, this tip is well known. But we must always remember it: compound interest works the miracle of multiplying money. What will be necessary is an initial effort to accumulate a good amount of capital and then knowledge to invest wisely.

2. Seek to obtain “passive income”

Monetary investments (those involving “Making Your Money Work for You”) can also be considered Passive Income. But we are including this specific item because its scope is broader.

In a simplistic way, Passive Income is income that generates money without requiring you to spend a significant amount of time. Examples include rental income from real estate, profits and dividends from ownership stakes in companies, patent royalties, copyrights from books and music, etc.

The Rich understand that they should not focus only on “active income,” which consumes a significant amount of their time. This is because we have a limited amount of working time per day.

For example, if you work as a Teacher and get paid per class taught, your salary will have a limit: the number of classes you can teach per month. But if you write a successful book in your field of knowledge, your only work will be writing the book; and your income will depend on the number of books sold, which can be very large.

3. Know how to take … calculated risks

An important characteristic of the Rich is that they are willing to take risks, as long as the return is high and there is some possibility of controlling these risks.

This is a fundamental strategy of the capitalist model. The chance of becoming rich through extremely conservative behavior is very low.

4. Focus on what you can do … and not on trying to predict the future

We dream of trying to predict the future to become rich: what will the Mega Sena numbers be? Will the dollar rise or fall? Will the stock market plunge or recover?

These are important questions, yes, and we should always stay attuned to market trends. But we should not only try to get our predictions right: we need to create our own future.

The rich are always asking themselves: “What can I do to create a successful business?” Or: “Could we generate a good business by buying land and building warehouses?”

In other words, the concern is more with activities that are within our reach, so as to create a future that is favorable to us. And not simply remain focused on guessing.
