The survey was conducted by the financial consulting fintech Leve. In total, 700 employees from 16 companies were interviewed. The objective was to draw a profile of the workers’ finances. According to Leve, the study painted a concerning picture of Brazilians’ lack of financial control.
According to the survey, 35% of workers would only be able to maintain their standard of living for three weeks after they stopped working.
Debt is also a common problem among many Brazilians. One-quarter of those interviewed (25%) have debts exceeding what they can afford to pay. A little less than half of the respondents (46%) said they have their debts under control.
